A.W. FABER-CASTELL USA Becomes Newest Member of Germany-Based FABER-CASTELL Companies.


BERNARDSVILLE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 1997--

New US Subsidiary To Market Line Of Artists' Color Pencils, Black Lead Pencils, Cutting Products, Cases, Portfolios

A.W. FABER-CASTELL USA Inc. has become the newest member of the Germany-based FABER-CASTELL group of companies, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality writing, drawing and coloring instruments.

The company will be headquartered in Bernardsville, N.J. Christopher Wiedenmayer will serve as president and Vincent Donofrio as director of marketing.

The new U.S. subsidiary will market a full line of high-quality artists' color pencils and black lead pencils, as well as a complete line of artist cases and portfolios, cutting and sharpening products.

In making the announcement, Vincent Donofrio said, "We are extremely pleased to offer the U.S. artist and graphic designer an exciting alternative. It is the commitment of A.W. FABER-CASTELL USA to bring the right products to the marketplace at the right time. We intend to put our long experience to innovative use, fulfilling the expectations of all those who use our products."

Among the A.W. FABER-CASTELL product lines offered are Polychromos artist pencils, Polychromos artist pastels, Albrecht Durer(R) watercolor pencils, Albrecht Durer(R) aquarelle aquarelle (ăk'wərĕl`): see watercolor painting.  sticks, Pitt(R) monochrome Also called "mono."
