A.V. YOUTH EXPO SET FOR FAIRGROUNDS.

More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the expo, which will provide an opportunity for young people and their parents to obtain a wide range of information, organizers said Friday.

``I honestly see the future of the Antelope Valley Youth Expo becoming a community event just as the Poppy Festival, the Fall Festival, all these great community events that we have specifically geared toward kids and their families,'' said Lori Goodell, youth expo adviser. ``I also see the adult community focusing on supporting the youth organizations that are out there, both profit and nonprofit organizations Nonprofit Organization

More than 150 booths will provide information at the free event, which will run from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 29. Sheriff Lee Baca Leroy David Baca (b. May 27 1942, East Los Angeles, California) is the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, California.

Last year's fair attracted 3,500 people and 100 vendors.

Goodell, a parent of two, said she hopes valley youth will leave the expo with an understanding of all of the opportunities and programs available for them.

``The character and conduct of our youth reflects the character and conduct not only of our family, but our businesses, our communities, our county and our America,'' Goodell said.
