The Antelope Valley
 residents will go to the polls today to elect new college and school board members and, in Palmdale, to choose a mayor and two city council members.

Eastside Union School District voters will decide on a $15.5 million school construction bond proposal, and east Kern Kern, river, 155 mi (249 km) long, rising in the S Sierra Nevada Mts., E Calif., and flowing south, then southwest to a reservoir in the extreme southern part of the San Joaquin valley. The river has Isabella Dam as its chief facility.  County residents will vote on the Mojave Airport board.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voter information is available by calling (562) 462-2748 or (562) 462-2749.

School districts with board races include Acton-Agua Dulce, Antelope Valley Union High School District The Antelope Valley Union High School District (A.V.U.H.S.D.) is located in the Antelope Valley area of California, in northern Los Angeles County.

The district includes eight public high schools, one trade school, and two continuation high schools in the cities of Palmdale
, Eastside, Hughes-Elizabeth Lakes, Lancaster, Palmdale, Westside, Wilsona and Southern Kern.

(51 cm), it is also used in wetter areas to grow certain crops, e.g., rice.  District and Palmdale Water District also have board races.
