, 20, of Lancaster on murder, attempted murder and robbery charges and Kyrone Blakney, 17, on attempted murder and robbery charges.

Blakney is being prosecuted as an adult.

Prosecutors asserted Taylor, Blakney and Robert Wayne Klingman III, 21, of Lancaster were present when 68-year-old Ladd Franklin Schweitzer of Palmdale was shot after refusing to hand over his money to a gunman who had stopped his van on an isolated two-lane road.

Prosecutors say the three then committed two home-invasion robberies in a Lancaster neighborhood.

Klingman was shot and killed by a deputy about an hour after the home- invasion robberies after he pointed a pistol at deputies who were talking to Taylor and Blakney, officials said. Klingman drove up after the pair were arrested while walking along 15th Street East.

Schweitzer was shot shortly after 11 p.m. Aug. 22 as he tried to drive away from a would-be robber, who had parked a car to block traffic on 70th Street East near Avenue N, homicide investigators said.

The two home invasion robberies occurred around midnight on Aug. 23 and left a homeowner and a neighbor wounded.
