The daughter of King Kunimund of the Gepidae, a Germanic people, she was captured by Alboin, who had defeated and killed her father. -- A Rosamond man was clinging to life Friday, a week after a bar fight left him with severe head injuries.Kern County sheriff's deputies have not made any arrests and have not released the names of anyone involved in the incident, however Terri King, also of Rosamond, identified the victim as her son, Adam King, 21. Terri King said her son was in critical but stable condition. She said King is in a drug-induced coma after undergoing two brain surgeries and a procedure to treat a collapsed lung. King was unconscious when he was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital about 2 a.m. last Saturday, the mother said. She said the altercation occurred at My Place Lounge, a popular Rosamond nightclub. Kern County sheriff's Sgt. Ron Maynard confirmed that there was an altercation involving two 21-year-old Rosamond-area men early that morning at My Place Lounge, and that one of the men remains hospitalized. He said sheriff's deputies arrived within three minutes of the altercation, but have not determined the cause of the fight. "Our investigation is continuing," Maynard said. "We still want to talk to more people who might have more information." Terri King said her son was nearly killed in a traffic accident when he was 15, when he was hit by a car while crossing Rosamond Boulevard and Glendower Glendower: see Owen Glendower. Street.
