Unconditional love is a concept that means showing love towards someone regardless of his or her actions or beliefs.

 College's annual Dance Dimensions concert.

Showcasing the work of a guest artist, faculty and advanced students, the dance concert will be held tonight and Saturday night at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre. .

``It gives students the experience of what it's like to dance on stage,'' said Kathy Bingham, a dance instructor at the college and founder of the concert.

This year's guest artist is Lisa K. Lock, who received a ballet diploma from the Grande Ecole de Danse in Berne, Switzerland, and holds a master's degree from the California Institute of the Arts California Institute of the Arts

Lock teaches at Pomona College, the Pasadena Civic Ballet Center, and the Dancin' in Acton studio in Acton.

Lock will perform a solo piece choreographed by Patrick Frantz, a teacher at the Paris Opera Ballet The Paris Opéra Ballet is the official ballet company of the Opéra national de Paris, otherwise known as the Palais Garnier, though known more popularly simply as the Paris Opéra. .

The dance concert will also introduce a piece choreographed for the upcoming production of ``The Rainbow Goblins'' at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. The children's play is based on a book written by an Italian count about seven goblins that eat color, leaving the world gray.

``It started with a class exercise where we had to portray an emotion. I drew lust,'' Curtis said. ``I decided to use an apple and bite it at the end, representing the fall of Eve.''

Student Tiffany Krusey, 20, of Lancaster will present a dance about unconditional love. The piece features dancers representing toys that belong to a young woman who is heading off to college.

``They come to life and express their love to her,'' Krusey said.

Dance Dimensions '97 will be performed at 8 tonight and Saturday at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 W. Lancaster Blvd. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for those under 17.
