A.M. Best Upgrades Rating of The Doctors Company Insurance Group and Assigns Rating to Northwest Physicians.


OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has upgraded the financial strength rating (FSR (Free System Resource) In Windows 3.x, the amount of unused memory in various 64K blocks reserved for managing current applications. See Windows memory limitation. ) to A- (Excellent) from B++ (Very Good) for The Doctors Company Insurance Group (TDCG) (Napa, CA) and its members, which is led by The Doctors Company, An Interinsurance Exchange (The Doctors Company) (California). Concurrently, A.M. Best has assigned the above FSR of A- (Excellent) to The Doctors Company's recently acquired subsidiary, Northwest Physicians Insurance Company (Oregon). The outlook for the rating is stable.

These rating actions recognize TDCG's return to profitability, renewed underwriting Underwriting

The above FSR of A- (Excellent) has been assigned to Northwest Physicians Insurance Company.
