A.M. Best Launches 15 Insurance Stock Indexes.


OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has released 15 stock indexes covering publicly traded companies publicly traded company

A company whose shares of common stock are held by the public and are available for purchase by investors. The shares of publicly traded firms are bought and sold on the organized exchanges or in the over-the-counter market.
 in sectors of the U.S. and global insurance industry. Companies in the indexes include insurance carriers with interactive ratings from A.M. Best, along with insurance brokers.

The indexes are compiled in real time and distributed on major financial wires by Dow Jones Dow Jones
