A.M. Best Corrects Rating of Sun Life Financial Inc.'s Senior Unsecured Debentures.

OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has corrected the debt rating of "bbb+" to "a" for CAD 300 million fixed/floating rate senior unsecured debentures due 2031 of Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF) (Toronto, Ontario). The outlook is stable. The rating appears on A.M. Best's website and unaffiliated services such as Bloomberg. All other ratings of SLF and its life/health insurance subsidiaries are unchanged.

The ratings of SLF and its life/health subsidiaries reflect the group's very strong positions in its core markets, diversified operations and continued profitable growth achieved organically and through acquisitions, as well as its superior capital positions.
