OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of "a-" of Heritage Indemnity Company (Heritage) (Burbank, CA). The outlook for both ratings is positive.

The ratings reflect Heritage's solid capitalization and its favorable operating results in recent years. The outlook is based on A.M. Best's expectation that Heritage will continue its favorable operating results and capital generation, along with the financial strength and support of its ultimate parent, Wachovia Corporation.
