To declare positively or firmly; maintain to be true. 2. To support or uphold the validity of; confirm. v.intr. and removed from under review the "A-" (Excellent) ratings on 11 HMO HMO health maintenance organization. HMO n. The action is a result of the termination of a proposed merger between Humana Inc. and United HealthCare Corp. Family Health Plan, PCA Health Plans of Florida, PCA Health Plans of Texas, Humana Health Insurance Company of Florida, Humana Insurance Co. and Humana HealthChicago Insurance Co. A.M.
