Best's view, Alliance Re's overall financial performance is likely to improve in 2007 and 2008 due to the projected good underwriting profitability and the high investment income derived from its new property investments. Alliance Re's combined ratio is expected to improve to the range of 92.4%-94%, resulting in a lower expense ratio.

A.M. Best anticipates that Alliance Re's risk-adjusted capital position is likely to remain solid in 2007 and 2008. In A.M. Best's view, Alliance Re's risk management is further enhanced as the company developed a new Internal Risk Capital Model in 2007 that allows monitoring of its risk exposure and capital allocation on a continuous basis.
