A.L.I. Technologies Inc. ("ALI") and Vital Images, Inc. ("Vital Images") announced today at the 1999 Radiological Society of North America The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), founded in 1915, has the purpose to "promote and develop the highest standards of radiology and related sciences through education and research".  Annual Meeting an agreement to cooperatively market Vital Images' diagnostic 2D and 3D visualization and analysis software, including its recently announced Vitrea(r) 2 software for Windows(r) NT, and ALI's image management and networking products. Under the agreement, ALI and Vital Images will actively market the other's products to their respective customers and collaborate to create combined solutions for new customers.

The alliance leverages the product strength and experience of two industry leaders to satisfy customer requirements for visualization and analysis, DICOM (medical, standard) DICOM - (From Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine) A standard developed by ACR-NEMA (American College of Radiology - National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) for communications between medical imaging devices.  connectivity, innovative image data management, and imaging network capabilities.
