A.I.A. to Publish Comprehensive Results of Company Research and 'Blind Audit'.

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 1998--The Association for Investor Assistance (A.I.A.), a not for profit entity focused on supplying investors of publicly traded companies with the information necessary to protect themselves and their investments, has conducted a survey of companies.

The results of the research will be published Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. est. at www.investoraware.org. The information is completely free to the public and investors and other interested parties are encouraged to visit the site early to secure email copies of the report and prevent potential traffic problems at the site of the not for profit entity.

The A.I.A. is also urging investors to please report their experiences with the below listed companies via an on-line form at www.investoraware.org. Investor complaints and compliments are often the first source for A.I.A. research and are welcomed.

"Investors do have an opportunity to voice their concerns," said Executive Director Anthony Appel. "Many of the company reports published by our agency are precipitated by investor commentary through the website."

"We are here to ensure that investors receive any and all information in a timely and forthright manner," said Appel. "We deem it imperative that information be communicated to all investors without regard to the size of their investment. Certain companies must come to recognize that individual investors with just a few shares a piece, have a collective worth that often far exceeds that of the institutional investors who sadly, sometimes receive preferential treatment."

The companies included in tomorrow's report are: Barrick Gold Corp. (nyse:ABX), Genesco Inc. (nyse:GCO), Amgen Inc. (nasdaq:AMGN), Adtran Inc. (nasdaq:ADTN ADTN Administrative Data Transmission Network
