A.C. Moore Announces Daniel C. Maguire as Vice President of Store Planning and Visual Presentation.

BERLIN, N.J. -- A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. (Nasdaq:ACMR) announced today that Daniel C. Maguire has joined the Company as Vice President of Store Planning and Visual Presentation effective December 18, 2006. Mr. Maguire most recently served as the Chief Store Development Officer of DOTS LLC, a nationwide retailer of women's plus-sized fashions.

Prior to DOTS, Mr. Maguire served in multiple senior management positions with Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., a nationwide retailer of specialty crafts, including Vice President, Store Transformation and Planning. During his tenure with Jo-Ann Stores, he oversaw merchandise presentation, store planning and design, facilities management, and store communication and operational programs.

In addition to Jo-Ann Stores, Mr. Maguire was also the Vice President of Store Planning for Hechinger's, a national home improvement retail chain, and director of Store Planning for Ames Department Stores. Mr. Maguire holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University and is an active volunteer with numerous charitable organizations.
