AKRON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1998--A. Schulman, Inc. (Nasdaq:SHLM) has received Johnson Controls' Most Improved Supplier Award. A. Schulman supplies copolymer polypropylene to the division of Johnson Controls formerly known as the Prince Corporation in Holland, Michigan. These materials are primarily used for interior door trim components.

Kraig Boeve, corporate purchaser for Johnson Controls' Automotive Products Division, presented the award to Terry L. Haines, president and CEO of A. Schulman, and Larry A. Kushkin, A.
