WORCESTER Abraham "Mitch" Goldstein, 87, of 5250 Las Verdes Circle #116, Delray Beach Delray Beach, resort city (1990 pop. 47,181), Palm Beach co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled 1895, inc. 1911. Mostly residential, Delray Beach is also the trade center for a citrus-fruit and vegetable-growing region. , FL, died on Friday, April 24th in Hospice By The Sea in Delray Beach.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Charlotte (Koss) Goldstein, a daughter, Eileen, wife of Robert Cohen Robert Cohen may refer to:

He was born in Worcester and was a son of Jacob and Ida (Siegal) Goldstein and lived in Worcester for 73 years before moving to Delray Beach 14 years ago.

He was a self employed painting contractor for many years, retiring in 1976 due to illness.

He was a corporal in the Army Air Corps during World War II serving throughout Italy including the Anzio Invasion, and in Southern France Southern France (or the South of France), colloquially known as Le Midi, is a loosely defined geographical area consisting of the regions of France that border the Atlantic Ocean south of the Gironde, Spain, the Mediterranean Sea, Italy, and Switzerland south of the .

He was a longtime member if Temple Emanuel and was a past commander of the Irving Yarock Post # 32 of the Jewish War Jewish War can relate to:
  • The First Jewish-Roman War of 66-73, (see also Jewish-Roman wars)
  • A shorter title of the work by the Jewish historian Josephus, also known as Bellum Judaicum (The Wars of the Jews)
 Veterans. He was a very active volunteer at the New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  Science Center. He was also an avid bird watcher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on MONDAY, APRIL 27TH in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery in Auburn.

Memorial Observance for Monday, April 27th will be announced at the time of the funeral service. The remainder of Memorial Observance will be held at the residence of Eileen and Robert Cohen at 7 Blackington Rd. in Foxboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
