The Book of First Samuel introduces him as the youngest of eight sons who is anointed king by Samuel to replace Saul, who had been deemed a failure. Strathairn Likeably barmy comedy about an actor who puts his soul into storage to unburden himself, but panics when it goes missing. TRIANGLE Cert 15, 99mins * Starring: Melissa George, Liam Hemsworth Unbelievably bad chiller in which a shipwrecked yacht crew make the mistake of hitching a ride on a passing liner. Holed below the waterline. UP Cert U, 102mins ***** Voices: Edward Asner, Jordan Nagai, Christopher Plummer Pixar's 10th film is one of their finest yet. A touching, and greatlooking, tale of a grumpy old man who attaches balloons to his house and heads to South America in search of adventure. THE WHITE RIBBON Cert 15, 143mins * Starring: Christian Friedel, Rainer Bock Michael Haneke's exceptionally boring drama focusing on a German village where a series of tragedies start to occur.
