Miniaturized SOM Allows You to 'Port and Go'

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Advanced Knowledge Associates (AKA) - the leaders in miniaturized, reconfigurable, fully self-contained and high-performance system-on-module (SOM) technology - today launched the LM125, a compact logic module designed to enable systems designers to get to market simply and quickly. Based around a high density FPGA fabric and employing a uBlaze soft CPU core from Xilinx, the LM125 incorporates 256Mb of SDRAM and 512Mb of flash to handle multiple boot images for logic and software applications, while supporting a wide variety of standard interfaces.

The LM125 has a modular architecture which facilitates the simple integration of user logic and custom peripheral sets. On board programmable clock generation, voltage regulation and power monitoring further ease system integration. More, because it is based on programmable logic technology from the world's the leading FPGA manufacturer (Spartan IIE from Xilinx) the LM125 enables great system flexibility.

Measuring just 2x2in, the LM125 supports the Linux operating system. Standard interfaces include Dual 1553RT, Dual CAN, Dual RS232, USB and Ethernet 10/100 BT, and the LM125 also offers over 200 high speed general purpose I/Os. AKA modules are suitable for applications including military and defense, medical, industrial and high end telecoms.
