A-B sues brick over lime beer.


Anheuser-Busch and Labatt Brewing Co. have sued the Brick Brewing Co. of Waterloo, Ontario Coordinates:

Anheuser and Labatt are seeking monetary damages and $454,000 in punitive damages Monetary compensation awarded to an injured party that goes beyond that which is necessary to compensate the individual for losses and that is intended to punish the wrongdoer. .

"We're in a fight for our lives against a foreign-owned beer giant," George Croft, Brick's chief executive officer, told a Canadian paper. "It is a standard tactic used by large breweries worldwide to eradicate all competition."

The packaging for both beers features images of lime slices. Both are sold in clear bottles and the labels have a bright green and silver color scheme.
