IT'S a funny old thing when you come back from holiday, you forget that everyone has else has been working, playing and getting on with their normal lives.

And so when I returned this week from a few days away I was almost overwhelmed o·ver·whelm

1. To surge over and submerge; engulf: waves overwhelming the rocky shoreline.

2.

full of sport, pictures, memories, events and so much more.

I hope you have made time to browse - maybe your photo has been sent in - after all People is your paper, full of your fantastic photographs.

Now, with sunnier days, and talk of wedding in the office I was delighted to look over our fabulous Wedding of the Week.

The gorgeous couple said their vows in glorious sunshine with a beautiful wedding party in tow.

See the new Mr and Mrs Ball over the page - and some wedding snaps of Teesside brides and their grooms, alongside.

Not forgetting six more cute babies. Has your child been pictured on these pages? Send me in your favourite baby snaps and I'll do my best to show them off on your behalf.

I particularly like this week's front page.

Every week I pour over all the amazing a·maze

v.tr.
1. To affect with great wonder; astonish. See Synonyms at surprise.

2. Obsolete To bewilder; perplex.

holiday photographs which you send me, showing off your Gazette all over the world.

So when I saw Paul Tullius and Mark Horton's amazing shots from Tristan da Cunha Tristan da Cunha (trĭs`tăn də k`nə), group of volcanic islands in the S Atlantic, about midway between S Africa and S America.  I had to share them with each of you.

These Tees lads are big Gazette fans. Even when they are away from home they check out all the news and local information from home via the gazettelive website.

In fact, when Mark was away he desperately wanted to let us see how much he loved his Gazette so had a copy printed and sent out so he could appear in the Gazette on Tour column.

He'll certainly be in for a surprise today when he picks up his Gazette People.
