Byline: By Manish Gajjar

DIRECTOR: Kaushik Ghatak

STARRING: Sonu Sood, Isha Koppikar, Alok Nath, Smita Jaykar

THE PLOT: Trained in classical Indian music, Chandni (Eesha) comes from a poor family background consisting of a father (Alok Nath) and two younger siblings.

She meets rich guy Prem at a singing contest and falls in love at first sight leading to a traditional engagement celebration.

But as luck would have it, Chandni's father passes away before the planned grand wedding. This leaves Chandni to shoulder the responsibility of looking after her young brother Anuj and sister Sandhya.

Left with no choice, Chandni puts her marriage and singing career on a 12-year back burner Noun 1. back burner - reduced priority; "dozens of cases were put on the back burner"

Meanwhile, Prem patiently waits for his true love whilst family members act as negative barriers to break his relationship with Chandni in this musical melodrama.

THE VERDICT: In this day and age where weekly releases are made up of comedy, action and science fiction, this family melodrama comes as a refreshing change.
