She meets rich guy Prem at a singing contest and falls in love at first sight leading to a traditional engagement celebration. But as luck would have it, Chandni's father passes away before the planned grand wedding. This leaves Chandni to shoulder the responsibility of looking after her young brother Anuj and sister Sandhya. THE VERDICT: In this day and age where weekly releases are made up of comedy, action and science fiction, this family melodrama comes as a refreshing change. Debut director Ghatak successfully incorporates colourful weddings and religious rituals unravelling a make-believe tale full of family values family values pl.n. The moral and social values traditionally maintained and affirmed within a family. and cultural traditions. With songs and celebrations aplenty a·plen·ty adj.
