The judge in the case had thought he could hear tinny music in the courtroom, but dismissed the sound as a figment of his imagination until another juror sent him a note. What one wants to know, but none of the news stories has told us, is what kind of music the young lady was listening to: hip-hop, or Koranic chants? Neither would excuse her gross lack of social responsibility, but there would be some slight consolation in knowing that it was the Black Eyed Peas, not Osama bin Laden, who had seduced this young lady's affections away from Anglo-Saxon court procedure.
