Writer and teacher Caroline Benn (who died in 2000) was one of the leaders of Britain's comprehensive school movement. Co-edited by her journalist daughter and a close colleague, this volume celebrates Benn's life and work. It contains 17 contributions from academics, politicians (including her husband, Tony Benn Anthony "Tony" Neil Wedgwood Benn (born 3 April 1925), formerly 2nd Viscount Stansgate, is a British socialist politician.
