A taste of Army life.


OFFICE workers swapped pens and computers for life in the Army. People from across the NorthEast joined the Territorial Army for a day at Catterick Barracks in Yorkshire.

Employees from 25 different firms took part in team-building and leadership exercises that included building rafts, field surgery and a rescue mission.

Away from their creature comforts, the 85 workers had to survive on Army rations, alongside regular recruits from TA and reserves from the Royal Auxiliary Air Force The Royal Auxiliary Air Force (RAuxAF) is the volunteer reserve part of the Royal Air Force. It consists of paid volunteers who give up some of their weekends, evenings and holidays to train at one of a number of squadrons around the United Kingdom. , Royal Naval Reserve “RNR” redirects here.
