Google is joining forces with several American research libraries and England's Oxford University to convert their collections into digital rites that will be freely available over the Internet. Google's collaborators include Harvard, Stanford, the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA. Over 50000 students are enrolled at the University of Michigan's three campuses. The students come from 50 states and over 100 foreign countries. , and the New York Public Library New York Public Library, free library supported by private endowments and gifts and by the city and state of New York. It is the one of largest libraries in the world. . The project, which could take at least a decade, involves more than 15 million books. Each library will scan tens of thousands of pages per day.
