 is getting more than $200,000 from the city to settle an antigay discrimination lawsuit. But he's disappointed that the public won't get to hear about the hostile climate he endured. The city in late December also announced that gay officer Alan Weiner would receive a $450,000 settlement in a separate discrimination lawsuit. The settlements are the latest in a long line of payouts totaling nearly $3 million to gay LAPD officers who claimed harassment. A 1993 court agreement mandated pro-gay policies, but Duncan said it has had little effect.
