at the Chelsea Wine Institute. The tasting focused on the small but growing number of women vintners, an apt choice for this exclusive group of industry pioneers. Like the vintners they toasted, the women of CREW*NY are making -- and leaving -- their mark.

CREW*NY's newly elected president is Caroline A. Harcourt, a partner at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop. Despite her principal involvement in two of the year's biggest deals -- she's representing AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  Time Warner on the Columbus Circle Columbus Circle, named for Christopher Columbus, is a major landmark and point of attraction in the New York City borough of Manhattan. What is CREW*NY?

CREW*NY is an invitation-only professional association for senior-level women representing the various sectors of commercial real estate in the New York area. Our members are among the most accomplished in their respective fields, representing the best in areas such as architecture, brokerage, development, engineering, finance, and law.

It's truly an extraordinary group. We count among our members Marilyn Jordan Taylor, Chair of Skidmore Owings Merrill; Cherrie Nanninga, Director of Real Estate for the Port Authority; Sherida Paulsen, Chair of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission is the New York City agency charged with administering New York's Landmarks Preservation Law.
