 new hatchback-cum-coupe from Korean car firm Kia, which is designed specifically for the European market and is to be built at the company's new Slovakian plant.

Although it is being dubbed a "concept", in reality it is the three-door version of the company's oddly-named cee'd, which will be a Ford Focus-sized five-door hatchback and estate model and is due to be launched here early next year.

The pro-cee'd, as the three-door concept car is called, is being shown alongside the production five-door model at next week's Paris show with an eye-catching semi-metallic Cashew paint job and part black 19-inch alloy wheels. It sits lower than the five-door version and is on a mission to endow en·dow

Designer Gregory Guillaume, says: "We have seized the opportunity of the Paris Show to create a 'teaser' car that really will build eager anticipation of future Kia models."
