A nature reserve with attractions for all the family is set to be launched on a North East beach.

The scheme will be officially opened by Blyth Valley

 Mayor Kath Nisbet at 1pm on Sunday, on Blyth promenade.

On show will be a newly-developed nature trail and accompanying leaflet with numbered posts.

Other activities will include a visit to the Watch Tower at Seaton Sluice Coordinates:

Seaton Sluice is a village in Northumberland. It lies on the coast at the mouth of the Seaton Burn, midway between Whitley Bay and Blyth. It has a population of about 4000 people.
 and its display of information and memorabilia; an opportunity to learn how to make butterfly kites and Marram grass planting with the Links Conservation Group.
