A small Fimo vans shoe I made 10 years ago.I MADE THIS LITTLE SHOE out of Fimo clay in 1994. Fimo is that soft clay that you can bake in oven. Anyway, I bought some of that clay and l made a Vans shoe out of it. I'm not too sure why I made this thing, but I do know that sometimes when I'm drunk I'll pick it up and stare at it, and for just a few seconds I can almost remember what it felt like to be 1gyears-old. And all of my stress and deadline pressures seem to disappear and 1 go back to a time when all I had to worry about was where I was going to go skate each day, and who was going to buy me beer each night. And then that all fades away and I find myself alone in my studio, almost 30-years-old, near tears with a little clay shoe in my hand. That's usually when I decide I should stop drinking for a few days. |
