A slap in the face for nurses.

I am usually a great advocate of Kai Tiaki Nursing New Zealand and the work of the co-editors. But, in advertising a Nestle product in your last issue, I believe you are in breach of the World Health Organisation code. "Scientific, factual and relevant information regarding infant formula" is allowed within the code, but this is clearly promoting the brand as much as the literature.

I have sent a direct complaint to the Ministry of Health's population health directorate. This is a slap in the face for everyone involved in promoting breast-feeding for our women and a healthy the for our children--and with Nestle, the company best known internationally for code violations! Please reconsider your advertising, as it reflects on us a profession.
