The following season was hugely successful for Acklam as they won the Under-12s division five, with Adam hitting the net 43 times. The now-demolished D. C. last season as they ran away with the division four title, winning all 18 of their matches to finish 16 points clear at the top of the table, scoring 120 goals. Adam scored 59 of those as Acklam made it through to the quarter-finals of the North Riding Cup and semi-final of the League Cup. Acklam club secretary Craig Hurndall said: "His performances last season were outstanding and he's a smashing kid." Acklam are looking for players for their Under- 9 and Under-14 sides this season.
