A sexy revue gets fleshed out.Byline: FRED CRAFTS The Register-Guard When director Joe Zingo describes his latest project at Actors Cabaret of Eugene, he notes that the title says it all: "SEX: The Musical." This hot little number is a work in progress that Zingo and co-artistic director Jim Roberts Jim Roberts can refer to
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of opening. The brand new show is - duh - a musical about sex. Well, it's more like a musical revue but all the songs are about love and lust. Tying them together is a minimal amount of dialogue. Each song stands pretty much by itself. In its way, the show follows in the tradition of such revues as "A My Name is Alice," "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a comedic musical written by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts. It is presently off-Broadway's longest-running musical, second only to The Fantasticks among off-Broadway musicals. ," "Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know," "Personals," "Starting Here and Starting Now," "When Pigs Fly When Pigs Fly is an episode from season 3 of the animated TV series Jackie Chan Adventures. Plot Jackie is already onto the next noble animal - The Rooster, Power of Levitation! Unfortunately, the rooster has discovered its unique Power of Levitation and is " and "Whoop whoop (hldbomacp) the sonorous and convulsive inhalation of whooping cough. whoop n. The paroxysmal gasp characteristic of whooping cough. Dee-Do." The project is the brainchild of producer David Coffman, the creator of ``4 Guys Named Jose'' and "Blackbirds of Broadway." Zingo says Coffman told him that when he put out a call for songwriters to submit material for a musical about sex, he received more than 100 tunes. The current version of the show has 27 songs. But Zingo says, because this is a project being developed for a possible off-Broadway run, the content is constantly being changed. "We're helping to develop it for them," Zingo explains about his arrangement with International Producers Circle Inc., in New York. "They sent us a video of their show. It's pretty straight-forward: no costumes, no sets, no props, nothing. It's just get up and sing. Well, that's really boring. We're doing it as theatrical piece." Among the songs are "The Three-Letter Words," "A Good Thing He Can't Read My Mind," "All the Men That I Like," "Blow Me (A Kiss)," "One Night Stand," "Can't Get Enough Blues," "Orgasm Island," "I'm Just an Ordinary Guy" and "Nobody Beats my Bob."
