A security camera caught at least six Richmond, California, police officers taking drinks from a closed Mrs. Fields Mrs. Fields Cookies is a chain of bakeries, located mostly in the United States, founded by Debbi Fields (b. 1956, Park City, Utah). Mrs. Fields and her husband started their business in the late 1970s, opening the first of many retail bakeries in Palo Alto, California, selling  Original Cookies store during a search for a burglar BURGLAR. One who commits a burglary. (q. v.) . An attorney representing the officers says they were dehydrated de·hy·drate

1. To remove water from; make anhydrous.

2. To preserve by removing water from (vegetables, for example).
 after a long search of a closed mall. The supervising sergeant says he considered leaving money to pay for the drinks but decided not to because it might be stolen.
