A real lack of school spirit.A UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles UCLA University Center for Learning Assistance (Illinois State University) UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX study that surveyed 3,680 college students at 46 schools found that while 77 percent say that they pray and 71 percent say that they find religion to be helpful, 62 percent say that their professors never encourage religious or spiritual discussion and 53 percent say the classroom has no effect on their beliefs.
