Richard John Santorum (born May 10, 1958) is a former United States Senator from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

On the National Day of Prayer, Key West police officer and chaplain Steve Torrence stood at a podium in front of the U.S. House of Representatives and prayed for the leaders of Congress to fill their hearts with compassion for all their neighbors.

"Let us always remember that despite our differences, we are one human family," he said.
