Written as a supplemental guide to program evaluation courses, this book is intended to help evaluators design and plan and school and community-based programs as well as media campaigns. Editors Holden (RTI International) and Zimmerman (human growth and development, U. of Michigan) have edited this guide that introduces their evaluation model known as the Evaluation Planning Incorporating Context (EPIC), with contributors exploring how this strategy is used to assess content, gather reconnaissance, engage stakeholders, describe the program and focus the evaluation. Notably, this book concentrates on the period where the planning and designing of an evaluation program is needed, and does not address the analysis and presentation of results.
