A pink pamper week raises cash for charity.


A HAIRDRESSERS' salon went pink to raise money for a cancer charity.

The staff at Lazarou Brothers Hairdressers held a fundraising effort for Breakthrough Breast Cancer Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the United Kingdom's leading breast cancer charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education.

Its essence comes from the thousands of people who are committed to a single vision -

The event at the salon in Birchgrove, Cardiff Birchgrove (Welsh: Llwyn Fedw) is a district of Cardiff stretching between Llanishen and the Gabalfa interchange, along the A469 Caerphilly road. , was organised by manager Flora Lazarou, 28, brother Barri, 25, and mum Maria, 52, and comes just six months after the death of their father, Tass.

The father of three, 54, died of a heart attack at his home in Llandaff in April.

He was one of the brothers who created the Lazarou hairdressing hairdressing, arranging of the hair for decorative, ceremonial, or symbolic reasons. Primitive men plastered their hair with clay and tied trophies and badges into it to represent their feats and qualities.  dynasty with his sister and six brothers.

Mr Lazarou was a well-known figure in the city and renowned for his fundraising work for charity.

Daughter Flora said organising the event enabled the family to keep occupied in the wake of Tass' death and follows in his fundraising footsteps.

She said: "I would like to think Dad would have been proud of us."
