Characterized by clear, precise expression in few words; concise and terse: a succinct reply; a succinct style. 2. that the U.S. had no just cause to intervene in Iraq. In its never-ending quest toward empire, the current government knows no bounds--with warrantless wiretapping A form of eavesdropping involving physical connection to the communications channels to breach the confidentiality of communications. For example, many poorly-secured buildings have unprotected telephone wiring closets where intruders may connect unauthorized wires to listen in on phone , presidential (not congressional) ordered war, mission-creep to nation building and "peacekeeping," incarcerating the accused in military prisons without legal representation, the abuses just seem limitless. I love reading THE NEW AMERICAN, and usually read it from cover to cover. Where I think you fail your readers, however, is in advising them to write to their senators and representatives in order to remedy problems in government. Let me explain why. The people we elected and sent to Washington--with the notable exception of Ron Paul (R-Texas)--have mostly been tainted taint v. taint·ed, taint·ing, taints v.tr. 1.
