A new look for the old school photo.

TWO university graduates have joined forces in business and say their combination of skills will put some fun into photography.

Lisa Laidler and Dan Hase say their photographic service, New Age Studios, will make staid school photos a thing of the past.

Dan graduated with a BSc (Hons) in multimedia and digital entertainment form Northumbria University and has been working as a photographer for the last few years.

Gateshead-born Lisa has a degree in performing arts at Northumbria and has worked as a dance and drama teacher. The duo will tour schools within Tyne and Wear producing innovative school photography services, where pupils will be given the option to have their photography session in school uniform or casual clothing.

The duo has business premises on the Team Valley Trading Estate where they offer other photographic services including family and fashion photography, portfolios, commercial and product photography and drive-in photography for cars and motor cycles.

The venture is being supported by Northumbria University's Enterprise Campus.

Dan said: "We believe, however, that our services are such good value for money we should be able to keep and gain even more clients during these hard times."
