A new guise for Foxx star.


Club regulars are used to seeing Billy Black strutting his stuff on stage.

He's been a favourite, treading the boards for some time now. But these days he's appearing in a different guise.

After three years as the very visible front man with top boy band Foxx, he has decided to make the break and front his own band.

And with it he is ditching, for the most part, the covers of Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Robbie Williams, Village People songs in favour of a harder edge.

The Billy Black Band are a live and kicking Live and Kicking can refer to:
  • Live & Kicking, (British children's show)
  • Live and Kicking, an Australian rules football variety program appearing on the Seven Network during 1999.
  • Live and Kicking, 2006 release by the Florida nu metal music group Nonpoint.
 five-piece, combining the best of contemporary and classic rock and pop tracks.

"I had three great years with the lads in Foxx, but it was time to move on," says Billy.

Move on, he did, and the word on the clubland The term Clubland can refer to several different things: Places
  • Clubland is an area of London which contains a high number of Gentlemen's clubs.
  • Clubland
 street is that the Billy Black Band rock.

"I'm enjoying singing songs by the likes of Dave Lee Roth, Bad Company and Queen," continued Billy.

Co-member Steve Patrick added: "With the resurgence of contemporary and classic rock, the band is being well-received."
