A new galaxy.

Like the stirring of a cup of Tetley tea, from vision to reality, I am beginning to see.

Teesdale, a glittering new star, born but not taken for granted by me,

Here at Stockton-on-Tees, its sons have stopped the flowing of the salt tidal sea.

To create a lagoon from the river barrage flowing upstream beyond Yarm and Aislaby.

The sea cadet training ship, a past man of war, is berthed near the replica of HMS Endeavour,

The vessel Captain James Cook commanded, to sail uncharted waters and new lands to explore.

For the tourists can now come and see ships from the past, and engineering so modern and world renowned,

As the birth of the railway, and the striking of the first friction match invented in our town.

That they might with knowledge, gain indemnity by enrolling at our new Stockton University.

So the teamwork must go on with the creation of mind, the abstract to transform, so the world will see man's own creative integrity.

So citizens you can see another first you will be,

To witness a new Stockton galaxy.
