A new VSP concept.


A multilayer, coextruded formable bottom web especially engineered for the flex-tray-flex and flex-flex applications of the Darfreshfi Vacuum Skin Packaging (VSP) concept, Cryovacfi Simple Stepsti FDE93X60 is for use with Cryovacfi Darfreshfi top webs TC201 and TH301.

This structure is 150 microns thick.

It is microwaveable and heat-treatable at temperatures up to 95 C during seven hours or 100 C during one hour.

CryovacfiSimple Stepsfi FDE93X60 offers the following attributes: Extended shelf life with organoleptic preservation thanks to VSP; Vertical display with headspace reduction; Leakproof package thanks to total seal around product (flex-flex applications); Improved convenience with efficient and consistent easy-opening; Self-venting package removes the need to peel or puncture the film prior to microwave reheating Steam assisted cooking and it is freezable for enhanced consumer convenience.

In combination with Darfreshfi top webs this material brings convenience and increased opportunities to the ready meals and foodservice markets because it is suitable for flex-tray-flex and flex-flex packs.

Ideal applications are chilled and frozen ready meals and meal components, as well as ready to heat and ready to cook products. In the microwave Heat & Serve segment, there is no need to peel off or puncture the film.

CryovacfiSimple Stepsfi FDE93X60 is compatible with the Rollstock packaging technology and can run on Cryovacfi VS26, as well as the Cryovacgfi Multivac CD and RCD range. Its maximum forming depth is 40 mm.
