A moving show of Japanese dance.


A DANCE spectacle of particular brilliance is promised tonight and tomorrow at Dance City when a Japanese troupe takes the floor.

Miyagi Dance Company is a pioneer in the field of inclusive dance, which involves disabled and able-bodied performers.

At Dance City they will perform Honno Sukoshi (Just A Little Bit), which explores the idea that everyone has several personality traits, one or more of which come to the fore Verb 1. come to the fore - make oneself visible; take action; "Young people should step to the fore and help their peers"
come forward, step forward, step to the fore, step up, come out
 when you look from a different angle.

The piece has been choreographed by Osamu Jareo, who is highly regarded in Japan.

He has said that he teaches a way of life at his workshops, encouraging people to get rid of their self-consciousness through various movement techniques.

This is only Miyagi Dance Company's second visit to the UK since it was formed in 1998. On its first tour, in 2005, it earned a standing ovation at the Lyric Theatre Lyric Theatre may refer to:
