A mighty lady; LETTERS to the EDITOR.I WOULD just like to say what a wonderful day my wife and I had on Tuesday when QM2 came into Liverpool. Despite the awful weather we decided to make a day of seeing this mighty lady. We got a great view and really enjoyed chatting with the other people who had gone down to the Pier Head The Pier Head is a riverside location in the city-centre of Liverpool, England. Landing stages The Pier Head is the historic location of Liverpool's landing stages and a trio of landmarks, which around 2001/02 were dubbed the 'Three Graces': Royal Liver Building, for the spectacle. Unfortunately we were not able to stay for the fireworks fireworks: see pyrotechnics. fireworks Explosives or combustibles used for display. Of ancient Chinese origin, fireworks evidently developed out of military rockets and explosive missiles and accompanied the spread of military explosives westward to but it looks like they were quite magnificent.
