Space Track Inc. announced the release of LotInfo 2004, a Windows-based, one-stop source of mapped property information for the five boroughs of New York City New York City: see New York, city.

LotInfo simplifies access to property information by using a map to access the data. Users can browse the map on the computer screen, click on a lot and display detailed information about any of the city's 950,000+ properties. The screen is designed so that the map and the information are displayed together and can be printed together for reports and presentations.

LotInfo users can locate properties on the map by address, street intersection or block-and-lot number; measure distances; and place user notes on the map. An additional map feature displays each lot by type of land use (using a color coding system Noun 1. coding system - a system of signals used to represent letters or numbers in transmitting messages
code - a coding system used for transmitting messages requiring brevity or secrecy
), so that users can search the map for properties of interest (e.g. vacant lots, multi-family housing).

LotInfo combines Department of City Planning city planning, process of planning for the improvement of urban centers in order to provide healthy and safe living conditions, efficient transport and communication, adequate public facilities, and aesthetic surroundings.  and Space Track computer mapping with information from the Department of Finance, MTA (1) (Message Transfer Agent or Mail Transfer Agent) The store and forward part of a messaging system.  and other sources. Individual property information includes assessed value, ownership, lot information, building information, easements EASEMENTS, estates. An easement is defined to be a liberty privilege or advantage, which one man may have in the lands of another, without profit; it may arise by deed or prescription. Subway lines and stations are mapped and weekday/weekend station ridership numbers can be obtained by clicking on a station.

LotInfo is delivered on a CD ROM CD ROM Compact Disk Read Only Memory  disk and is available for the entire city or for any combination of the boroughs. The mapping and data are updated annually.
