A look at CINTE Techtextil 2002: event shows strength of Chinese market. (CINTE Techtextil Review).
While the majority of visitors were from China, 42 countries, including Japan, Korea, Germany, the U.S. and France, were represented at the show, which included 214 exhibitors. According to statistics, 29% of the visitors were end users, 32% were from import and export corporations, 20% were wholesalers/distributors and 12% were in the academic or research field. "The visitors were of high quality--most of them managers, planners and designers," said Ma Jing Hua, general manger of exhibitor Sandong Kangjie Nonwovens Co. "There were also many visitors from areas located overseas such as the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia."
Products exhibited included nonwovens, filtration media, protective clothing, medical clothing, wires, interlinings, insulation material, coated fabrics, home textiles, felting and imitation leather substrates. These product groups were spread across the 12 application areas featured at the show--Agrotech, Buildtech, Clothtech, Geotech, Hometech, Indutech, Medtech, Mobiltech, Qekotech, Packtech, Protech and Sporttech.
Upcoming Techtextil events include Techtextil Frankfurt, scheduled for April 8-10, 2003; Techtextil South America, Sao Paulo, Brazil, November 11-13, 2003; Techtextil North America, March 30-April 1, 2004 and CINTE Techtextil China, which will be held in 2004.
