They are the people who provide license courses for coaches of all age groups. The courses vary in length from a few hours to several days and in intensity from casual to intensive.

Some courses award certificates or diplomas; others simply expect you to show up and listen.

USSF NATIONAL "A" LICENSE COURSE

Length: 9 days

Cost: Summer: $850 (US Coaches Organization member cost); $900 (non-member).

Winter: $925 (US Coaches Organization member cost); $975 (non-member).

Prerequisites: Candidates must be 21 years old and have earned a National "B" License (held for minimum of 12 months) and meets 3.2 Rule requirement.

Curriculum Emphasis of the "A" Course:

* Development and understanding of team play and specific tactical concepts A statement, in broad outline, which provides a common basis for future development of tactical doctrine. See also tactical sub-concept.  applied to a game plan, i.e., low pressure defending, counter-attack, pressing, etc.

* Ability to construct an appropriate training session and coach within an 11v11 format.

* Understanding of team-related issues, i.e., player management, match analysis, etc.

USSF NATIONAL "B" LICENSE COURSE

Length: 9 days

Length: 9 days

Curriculum Emphasis of the "C" Course:

* Emphasis will continue to be on the development of individual skill taught within individual and small group activities and games (4v4 to 7v7).

* Understanding and development of tactics through 4v4 to 9v9 games.

* Ability to observe TO OBSERVE, civil law. To perform that which has been prescribed by some law or usage. Dig., 1, 3, 32.  mistakes and make appropriate corrections.

USSF NATIONAL YOUTH CERTIFICATE COURSE ("Y" CERTIFICATE)

Length: 5 days

Cost: $625 (residential)

Prerequisites: Candidates must be 18 years old and hold "D" License or have approval of the State Director of Coaching to attend Curriculum Emphasis of the "Y" Course:

NYLC North Yorkshire Learning Consortium (UK) 
 consists of five days of classroom and field instruction and one day of written and practical field examinations. The instruction is age specific. Each day is devoted to the physical, psychological, and social characteristics displayed by children of specific ages: U.6, U.8, U.10, and U.12.

USSF STATE "D" LICENSE COURSE

Length: 36 hours

Prerequisites: Candidates must hold "E" Certificate or have approval of the State Director of Coaching to attend.

Curriculum Emphasis of the "D" Course:

* Prepare coaches to further develop the player's technical abilities and their application within the game.

* Increase the understanding of the Principles of Play and how they are applied in the game.

* Expand coaches' understanding of 11 aside soccer and the importance of developing a team system based on the players' abilities.

USSF STATE "E" LICENSE COURSE

Length: 18 hours

Prerequisites: Varies by state

Curriculum Emphasis of the "E" Course:

* This is the first course for coaches of 11 aside soccer and provides general instruction to coaching and organizing For other uses, see Organising model and Union organizer.

Organizing is the act of rearranging following one or more s. It can also be seen as the opposite of messing up.

Curriculum Emphasis of the Youth

Modules:

* Content of youth modules is same as for National Youth License Course and is age specific.

* Level I - U.6; Level II - U.8; Level Ill - U. 10.

* Focus of youth modules is the parent coach who has little or no experience in soccer.

USSF AMATEUR COACHING LICENSE

Length: 20 hours

Prerequisites: None

Purpose and Philosophy:

NSCAA STATE DIPLOMA DIPLOMA. An instrument of writing, executed by, a corporation or society, certifying that a certain person therein named is entitled to a certain distinction therein mentioned.

NSCAA GOALKEEPING INSTITUTE

NSCAA SPECIAL TOPICS COURSES

Clinics conducted by one or more members of the National Academy Staff on a specific aspect of the game. The courses are designed to meet the needs of the more experienced youth, high school, and college coaches working with advanced players.

NSCAA NATIONAL YOUTH DIPLOMA

Length: 30 hours held over three days

Cost: $150 (member): $200 (non-member)

Prerequisities: 18 years old; previous coaching certification is strongly suggested.

Curriculum: Designed for the youth coach working with players from 5 to 12 years of age. The overall objective is to help coaches create the optimal learning environment for teaching the developing player. Instruction is provided in a classroom setting in addition to practical demonstrations on the field, which allow the candidates to put their knowledge into action. Age group demonstrators appropriate for the course content are used to create a realistic training environment.

NSCAA NATIONAL DIPLOMA

The National Diploma (NDip) (Irish: Dioplóma Náisiúnta
 

Length: 50 hours

Cost: Varies

Curriculum: Designed to meet the needs of the more experienced coach, particularly those coaching at the high school level and above, or youth coaches with previous certification and a number of years working with the developing player. The overall objective of the course is to acquaint the coach with the needs of the American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  soccer player and provide the coach with an organized and progressive methodology of coaching those needs. Basic technical and tactical knowledge is the central theme of the course in a 6v6 model.
