The Capital Hotel also received the AAA's four-diamond distinction, marking its 18th year in this category.
Ashley's is one of three AAA four-diamond restaurants in the state, while the hotel is the only one in Arkansas to be given the award for both its facilities and restaurant.
"It's hard work, but we keep it up. It's a commitment made by everybody [who works at the Capital Hotel]," said Joe Rantisi, the hotel's general manager.
AAA judges anonymously book reservations, stay overnight and eat at Ashley's while they are visiting, said Rantisi, who believes the judges visited the site sometime in the summer.
A four-diamond rating requires hotels and restaurants comply with fire and ADA codes as well have excellent service for heightened guest comfort.
"AAA Four Diamond winners know the language of quality as they consistently deliver premier experiences, complete with superior personal service, first-class amenities and impressive surroundings," said Mike Right, AAA vice president of public affairs in a press release.
AAA members often use the association's guidelines when choosing accommodations and restaurants.
"The AAA gives people a lot of information based on the ratings [of hotels and restaurants]," Rantisi said.
